How come some skiers are so rude to snowboarders at ski resorts? I know it is NOT a generalization. But I have seen plenty of those "mid-age" skiers are pretty rude to snowboarders at ski resorts. They ski around like they should be the only people on the slopes. Of course, there are snowboarders out there that are not considered to others. But most of the snowboarders that I have seen in CA (at least) are fairly nice. Snowboarders pay just as much at the resort and deserve to be there.
What is the best of the smaller ski resorts in Lake Tahoe, CA area? I am looking to go to one of the smaller, less crowded ski resorts in the lake tahoe area. I am trying to avoid the larger ski resorts, ie Northstar, Heaveanly. Preferably it would have good ski classes and a good selection of runs. I am a intermediate to advanced skier but will be going with other less experienced people. Any recommendations or comments?
How do Ski Resorts acquire their mountains? How do ski resorts acquire the land on which they build on? How would one go about making their own ski resort? Surely it's extremely expensive, but would it be so hard with 4 or 5 partners?

Can you give me good and cheap options for ski resorts? Is early December a good time to go? This will be my 1st time skiing in North America (I'm from Brazil, we usually go to Chile and Argentina), so I want to be 100% sure I made a good choice. What are the ski resorts that are sure to be open by early December? Thanks!!! For those who're saying my question is too broad: I live in Brazil, so ANYWHERE in North America is an option for me. Since I can only go in early December, I'm aware most of the ski stations will be opening - or still closed. I'm counting with your expertise to help me out! Thanks for you help!

Which European ski resorts have the nicest long tree-lined runs? This will be my 5th year skiing and I am looking to take my family to a ski resort in Europe that has some nice, fairly easy tree-lined runs (blues and reds). If the resort is picturesque then that would be an added bonus. I have been to Vaujany, Adelboden, Val Thorens and Kanderstag and have been recommended Canazei in Italy and La Tania in France. Thanks!

I'm having trouble finding anything like this, and every time I search I get ski lodges and such. Any ideas?

What is a good temperature for snow in ski resorts? Specifically resorts in Austria if that makes any difference. The latest report said -4, -6. Is this okay, or does it need to be colder. Thanks. I'm talking about temperatures that keep the snow there. So it's cold enough so that the snow doesn't melt.

What Ski resorts tend to have the warmest weather in December? My wife and I and our 6 yr old are planning a trip for early december to go skiing and play in the snow. We'd probably pick Utah, Colorado or Tahoe...But any others will do as well. I know that some Mountain areas have more severe weather than others and was wondering which ones tend to be the less severe as we are not used to the cold weather.
What are some of the top lodges/ski resorts for married couples to stay at in Colorado? My husband and I want to try something different. We went to Vegas in June and had a good time, but I want to find something more romantic to do. Neither of us has ever been skiing before, but we really want to try something out of the norm. I am thinking of a romantic five night trip sitting in front of the fire sipping on cocoa and eating marshmallows. We would rent a car so we could take a tour of the city. Any suggestions? Nothing that is ridiculously expensive. We will be flying out of DFW.
