Is skiing an alternative workout for cardio or simply going to the gym?
Im trying to loose weight and i go skiing twice a week now. I usually go to the gym 3-4 times a week but since the season started i haven't been going to the gym much. So is skiing just as good? i mean 6-7 hours a day must be some good workout. I do need a second opinion. Can i go to the gym twice and do skiing twice?

- I've never skied but I would imagine it to be excellent exercise, it's a cardio exercise mostly. In fact I've heard that cross country skiing is on of the bestest most calorie blastingest workouts there is.
- skiing is great exercise. Try doing a 20 min cross country to break things up.
